YPK is a music project formed by Lebanese, Polish, and Korean musicians. They met in the OneBeat program, the result of a partnership between Found Sound Nation, Bang on a Can, and the US Department of State. They started their own story and shared a musical journey over the course of a month. YPK’s music consists of both pre-composed and improvised pieces played on the oud (an Arabic stringed instrument) and the gayageum (a traditional Korean zither-like stringed instrument) and accompanied by electronic music. The music group creates new sounds during their live performances while improvising simple melodies.

Since the Agricultural Age humans have raised animals. Of course, these animals were a means of production, raised with economic, practical purposes for food and labor, and thus regarded as each family's valued property. However, animals living with humans in contemporary society have been objects completely different to those in our previous consciousness. They gained a new appellation, companion animal as partners of human joy. anger, sorrow, and pleasure in life.
